21 Jul Sellers trying to screw us on repairs
My husband and I are closing on a house tomorrow, like final walk through in the morning and get keys that night. The sellers this whole process have been the worst type of people, always late on deadlines, arguing over the most basic of things, being entitled and snobbish the whole way.
They agreed to do some electrical repairs *with a licensed electrician(as stated in contract)* before closing. They waited until today to send us the invoice/proof of these repairs. The invoice was one of the most unbelievable pieces of bull I've ever seen. The supposed company name and street address do not match. There is not a phone number for the company, no licensing number for this *electrician*, no fricken last name for the individual who did the work. The prices don't add up either, $225 would not be near high enough for any of the work.
We've had enough of these people. If we can't get more information, including licensing info, we are going to demand they have a full electrical inspection *and* fix everything that comes up with an electrician of our choice or we will walk away right now. We are so sick of these people and the games they try to play.
Emotions might be clouding things, but what do you think?
