23 Jul Left my realtor a 1 star review on Zillow. He e-mailed saying he “felt sorry”. What do I do?
Bought my first home and my realtor was a nightmare to deal with. We had to ask for an inspection extension because he left the paperwork in his inbox and didn't do anything for it. He tried to steer me away from asking for repairs because he "thought they would push back" and I had to end up getting an attorney involved because the developer didn't disclose that five of the units in the building (including mine) had defective windows that they wouldn't repair (even though they said they would). I went ballistic when I found this out the day before closing and threatened to report everyone to the Attorney Generals office for fraud. As there was dual representation involved, I placed the blame squarely with my realtor. Ended up purchasing the place, but i'm now working with a new realtor to probably sell the condo after a year. I live in a city with very quickly appreciating home values, so this shouldn't be too hard to at least dump the place if I still hate it. The new realtor things I may already be at this point.
I left him a 1 star Zillow review saying as much, ruined his 5 star rating and received a lengthy e-mail from him that started with: "Wow, I am so surprised and so so sorry that you are feeling this way, fitchaber10 ?"
Should I respond at all? I have no desire to work with him again and am still so fuming over the whole process. I might even tell my new realtor to deny him and his team access to my unit if they want to show it to potential buyers when I sell the place.
tl;dr: Felt screwed over by realtor, left him a 1 star review and he is reaching out. What do I do?
